It’s Friday and I’ve got six Schwinns to post this weekend! I better get busy. This is Ed H.’s 1982 Schwinn Continental.

I pick up this bike for $40, everything appears to be original and the ride is great. This is the condition I bought it today, I plan on cleaning it up and performing some maintenance but that really cuts into the riding time. So far the only thing it needed was a new cable for the chain ring shifter, done in less than 10 minutes. I have read others stating how good these ride and it is the truth!
Thanks Ed
Artguywes has sent us this Schwinn Paramount flea market special. Old and crappy never looked so good! Even in this condition this baby demands respect. There is a difference between wear and neglect, and this OTS is blessed with aesthetic wear. I say clean her, wax her and love her as she is. But if you insist on repainting her, at least treat her right.

1965 Schwinn / Waterford Paramount Deluxe
This one I found yesterday at the flea market. A real sleeper. Rusty, faded and dirty. Outfitted with vintage campagnolo parts and a molded japanese seat. no bar tape and a TTT Stem. Vintage Dura Ace crank and MKS Quill Pedals. I may repaint it, but I’m also tempted to neutralize the rust and clearcoat over the existing wear. Sometimes a repaint can kill the character. – Wes

I know everyone loves ‘em some Triple S action, so here ya go—David’s 1973 Super Sport complete with Campy crank and Brooks B-17.

Its a 1973 Schwinn Super Sport in “Sunset Orange”. After fixing up my Dad’s Suburban last year, I’m on a Schwinn kick. The Super Sport was their “better” bike, only let down by its heavy one-piece steel and chrome crank, so that is the one thing I’ve modded. BMX adaptors and a well used Campy crank set were the answer.
Its a really classy bike with all the vintage bits that push my buttons.

Julie S. in OKC has sent us two more from her continually growing stable of steel. The first is a 1973 Schwinn Continental and the second is a Hercules HTF. Enjoy.

Bonus OTS:

Found with a mate (fine two fenderd friends) @ a local thrift: 73 chicago schwinn continental (chainless) and yet undated half breed; Herculese 5 spd…slipping into the 10 spd gallery……
Thanks

Militza in Valparaiso, Chile sent in what she believes could be a Schwinn Le Tour. It does have what looks to be a Schwinn stem, but the frame is nothing like the one other women’s Le Tour we have on here. Is there another ladies’ Schwinn model it could be?

Hubs: Maillard hubs 04 86 Made in France Crankset: Stronglight 170 9/16-20 marque déposée Chain Wheel: Stronglight modele déposée All the crank gear is Stronglight I´m not sure but I think it’s a Le Tour. Somebody know???
Thanks Militza
