Sorry I’ve been absent of regular updates this week. Life. Although this is a short week for us here at the OTSG, I’m not going to let you guys down with just any garden variety OTS. No, I’m going to let you don’t with an OTS that put the ‘nasty’ in Dynasty. This is Sears Free Spirit Dynasty 930se. Thanks to Dan B.

Hi Cameron: Here’s a 10 speed that proudly advertises its identity on the down tube. Came across this Free Spirit Dynasty at an early season tag sale. Sitting next to a Huffy mountain bike, I almost passed on it but for $10 I had to buy it. The bike is Falcon equipped with thumb and index shifter. This is the first Free Spirit I’ve seen with the Sears Roebuck label on it. I’m guessing that the “atb” stands for all terrain bike. Looking forward to the warmer weather, the start of tag sale season, and finding more old ten speeds.
Dan B.
Thanks Dan
David K. pulled a nice flip of this once tired Centurion Sport DLX mixte. Snazzy!

Before and after photos!
This Centurion was refurbished by me with new saddle, whitewalls, Velo Orange handlebar, brake levers, cork grips, cables with silver covers, and a fair amount of Mothers Aluminum Polish and elbow grease.
Sold immediately upon completion to a friend’s GF!
Thanks David
An OTSG First! Shae M’s Sturdee 10-Speed. The flipped drops are a first I could have done without.

Name: Shae M. Location: Riverside, Ca
Year: 1976? 1980′s? not sure can’t find much info about Sturdee
Make: Sturdee Model: ?
About the bike: I dug this out of my dad’s shed as a rust pile. Over the past month i’ve cleaned up the rust, put new tires, tubes, bar tape, switched the rear shimano skylark derailleur for a falcon and front shimano fe for the falcon. the falcons were in better shape. i bought new cables and housing for brakes and shifter and just lubed/tuned. Swapped a newer chain onto it. Rides great and now i’ve got the ten speed bug. I want to find another old shed project or ten speed in the dumpster to save!
Thanks Shae
Aaron D’s Austro Daimler. An AD for AD. Fitting.

Here is an unknown model Austro Daimler I found behind a strip-mall dumpster in Kalamazoo, MI. The bike was in somewhat sorry shape when found, needing brake and shifter cable work, and the front wheel was bent as if the bike had been in some terrible accident.
I can only imagine this bike’s life in the 1980s, seeing heavy use on the bicycles-only Mackinac Island. How it made it’s way to Kalamazoo I’ll never know.
After buying a new front wheel, snazzy whitewalls and having the cables fixed the Austro is a pleasant ride and will hopefully serve me well in Chicago. Unfortunately, the model of the bike is unreadable.

Thanks Aaron
Jay B is hoping for a little help finding the year of his Windsor Carabela. Just judging from the picture, I would think ’75-’80. Can anyone be more specific?

Bought this Carabela at an auction 17 years ago, just cleaned and tuned it up. Rides great…I would like to know what year it was made…..
Thanks Jay
