‘Found your site while doing some research on my old ten speed today. The bike is a 1978 AZUKI Gran Sport 21″ that I bought new in the Spring of ’78. I’m not riding it and would like to see it go to a collector instead of winding up as a bent wheel locked to a bike rack at some Community College.

Today’s “Monday Market” is so good I had to wait until Tuesday to post it. This is Chris U’s 1962 Schwinn Varsity Sport Touring 10-speed. Definitely one of the Top 3 Varsity here in the Gallery. (I would have called it #1 if it weren’t for that horrendous plastic pie plate. Let’s keep ‘em chrome people!)

Bill J’s Twin Schwinn Super Sports 1972 and 1982

Twin Schwinns for twoday. Both Super Sports; both courtesy of Bill J; one blue ’72; one silver ’82; one for sale; both schweet.

Here are two beautiful Schwinn Super Sports – separated by a decade in time.
The first is a 1972 Super Sport. I believe that this bike already exists in the gallery (bob’s), but this one has a bit of extra flair; reflective tape and funny read caps on most of the bolts. A few notes; it was missing its rear pie plate and the rear derailleur does not appear to be original – though the suntour VGT might have been an upgrade for the era? Also, when I purchased it, it did not have the original brooks saddle. The best I could do is a time appropriate Japanese fujita belt saddle – with the Japanese rear derailleur, maybe it isn’t that out of place.

The next is a 1982 Super Sport. A minty. This one has already found a new home – at 25 inches, it was way to big for me. The 1972 is looking for a new home.

It’s been a long time since my last “Monday Market” posting, and that’s just not right. Leading off this new era is a gem to be sure.

This beauty is sitting at $.99 with 4 days left, and the seller only want $125 to ship it. Now you may think that’s unreasonable sum for shipping, but being a proud owner of a couple 24″ girls Huffys, I can tell you, he’s not too far off. I promise you, he only stands to make about $13.75 off shipping.

But seriously, if you wanted to flip this baby, you could probably sell it to some rabid Coca-Cola knickknack collector at 300% profit.

Yes, another NOSOTS! This is a NOS Sears Free Spirit (Brittany is my guess). This is OTS is also offered for sale to a good, non-riding, non-assembling home?!

I have recently uncovered quite the gem! I have a 30 yr old Sears Free Spirit 10 speed 26″ X 21″. Model #940 474131.
This is a nice bike, but what makes it so special you ask? ITS STILL BRAND NEW IN THE BOX!!!!!! Thats right, it has NEVER been assembled!! All the wrappings, owners manual and packaging are intact!!! Entertaining offers, but hope to sell to a collector who does not plan to assemble and use the bike, for this would greatly reduce the value. Pics included. Call Addam @ 727-743-2469
