Monday Market – SellOldToys.com 1970s Women’s Schwinn Suburban For Sale

Woman's Schwinn Suburban

Sell Old Toys has a nice late 70s women’s Schwinn Suburban for sale in or near Raleigh, NC. They’re even willing to ship that beauty to you. I have one recommendation to the man behind the camera. Always get at least one profile shot level with the bike if you really want to flatter that little two-wheeled angel.

Editor’s Note:

They also have a very nice looking 1986 Men’s Schwinn World Sport for sale; unfortunately, it’s a 12-speed, so it does’t qualify for a posting in the 10-Speed Gallery.

I just bought a blue Schwinn Suburban very similar in looks to several you have on your website. However, mine is a 3 speed with a coaster brake plus a front wheel hand brake. Do you think that’s original equipment or could it have been added on by someone? Any idea of the year? Where could I look on the bike itself to find a number to help me determine the year it was made. Thank you very much, I’m sorry for intruding on a 10-speed website, but gosh, my bike looks so much like the ones you have pictures of!

I have a yellow 3 speed with front handle brakes and the difficult to change back tire die to the braking wires never wanting to go back in place as easily as it came off. It was standard on the bike. Unlike this photo my bike seat is the same color as the bike with white trim and a big white s on the seat. Original grips and tires…inner tubes are new and I am struggling to figure out how to get back brake put back right. I do not have the wire rack over back tire though. Being all original even with a years worth of dust and the back brake not hooked back up yet I have had offers up to 500 dollars. So there are collectors willing to pay over that 3 speed single, double and tripple click to start over gear system. Doesn’t sound like much for a classic but in Ky if offered more than 150 for an antique its a compliment. I am just nky willing to part with my mommas bike.
