kelly_c’s 1973 Schwinn Varsity which she plans to mercilessly convert in to a fixie! Apparently she doesn’t realize she will be missing the opportunity to be at the forefront of cycling’s next big old thing. 30 year old 10-speeds with tapeless bars, bottomed-out seats, one piece forged steel cranks and stamped dropouts are going to be hot in 2008. Upon further research:
She has also posted a picture of the bike post hack, but in the interest of my readers I won’t post the image. Soon enough she’ll be wishing she hadn’t floped and chopped those bars. Oh well.

I have the exact same bike. same color. same year. same oversized light on the front. beautiful.
I just found the same bike, hiding in my grandparents trailor at the bottom of the hill lol. some surface rust and in need of a serious tune up but a little elbow grease and love i think it will turn out gorgous.
