Little Ten-Speed Project

Wow, it has been a week since my last post and I promise I have a legitimate excuse—and a note from the doctor.

I haven’t mentioned it here before, but Mrs. Ten Speed and I have spent the last 9 months perfecting our own Little Ten-Speed Project.  In the wee hours of Sunday morning, we received our final parts shipment, and had to rush to the shop for final assembly!  Consequently, we have spent the last five days getting to know our Little Ten-Speed Project.  These types of projects do take some time, especially your first one.  As far as Little Ten-Speeds are concerned, we could not be more happy with the outcome.  She is a mixte model with true wheels, beautiful paint and smooth shifting derailers.  And if you ask me, she takes after Poppa Ten-Speed.  Since it is mid-winter, this little beauty won’t be seeing the road for a while. But when she does, I’m sure she’ll take right to it—it’s in her blood after all.

To those of you waiting to see your own OTS in the marque lights.  I will be back to my regular posting schedule shortly, and thank you for your patience.

Congratulations! I hope mother and daughter are doing well. Do take as much time as you need to enjoy the new addition to your family. As our pediatrician told us; “The honeymoon is over and the marriage is beginning.” It was quite a change, but a very good one.
