…on the other hand; this is what you want to SEE! The whole story with the former owner, the spare and original derailleur…its bloody marvellous! I want!

I must comment again; its a Puch, its in mint condition and it stands by itself…or on its own… Really great bike! Thanks OTS!

PS! lower the stem if it feels too big.

Any chance of a close-up of the decals (downtube and forks)? I’ve got a frame that I’m going to restore and will need to get some decals made up.

    Fantastic looking bike 🙂

I believe that at this time Puch was also making bikes for Sears, which were imported either under the Sears or “J.C.Higgins” brand. This is a beauty, a nicer frame than anything Sears sold in this country. I suspect it may be a year or two later than you think…

It is a really sharp looking bike. The front fork has a nice rake on it for a longer Wheelbase. Saddle looks perfect on it. I have a Sears 3 speed 1964 made in Austria as the headbadge states. a Puch for sure. Solid bicycles. Good work !

I just got a Puch Bergmister just like yours. I got it from a lady who owned it in the late 60’s or early 70’s. She got it in California and brought it to Indiana. I tried to help her sell it and just last week bought it. Some of the paint is chipped off on the top bar and it reveled the copper frame. Is yours like that. Collectors here want me to strip the paint off polish it up so the copper shines and clear coat it. I even have the tool kit that came with the bike.

I see this is an old thread, I am looking for an owners manual for an old Puch 10 speed free spirit which was given to me due to being an old rusty bike nobody wants. My brother and i are trying to fix it up (a beautiful bike) but i need to know what tools i need to do this. And everyone refers you to look in your owners manual.
    any ideas?
    thanks

I am in the same situation as you Duane. I got a Puch 10 Speed Free Spirit randomly at a car boot sale and I am looking to do it up. I have got quite fond of the old bike!
