HAPPY MONDAY! Really, HAPPY MONDAY! Hope you all are having to a better post-lazy-weekend than I am. But I digress. Here is a breath of fresh Canadian (Tire) air, by way of Aaron F, to aid in the recuperation.  I’d don’t know about you, but I’m already feeling the effects!

1984 Canadian Tire Supercycle

They don’t make ’em like this anymore.  This was my Dad’s bike that I recently found and resurrected from beneath a pile of hay.  Pretty much unridden for 20+ years, after a good dose of grease and some new bar tape, it rolls along quite nicely.  Parts aren’t high end, but what you’d expect from a big box retailer for the day – decent Shimano quality: RS front and rear derailleurs and Shimano hubs.  If you look closely, you’ll see that the Sun rims came improperly laced and I’ve since rebuilt them.  Soon to put on a classic San Marco Regal, as well.
