Aaron W’s Schwinn Traveler

The second installment of our Friday Trifecta of Travelers is this naked, aquamarine Traveler sent in by Aaron in Providence, RI.

Schwinn Traveler

providence, ri is a great town for bicycles. ever since moving here i’ve been admiring all the cool old bikes i see about town. i recently started perusing craigslist for one of my own. the schwinn traveler you see here is want i finally found. i rode it for a while and found that the san marco seat that was on it felt something like a 3 inch wide thong so i replaced it with a very comfy brooks saddle which i have to admit cost me considerably more than the bike itself. i hope you enjoy seeing it as much as i enjoy seeing all the other bikes in your gallery.
best, aaron

Thanks Aaron

Wow that is a really nice saddle! I think handlebar wrap that matches the saddle would be excellent. Good Find!

Brings back memories. I had one just like it of the same color in Indiana. It fit me like a glove and since that bike I have not found one that I could ride/steer so easily going no-handed (not that it’s wise to do). I only had it for a few months after buying it brand new and took it to football practice. When practice was done, bike was gone.
