    That’s bicycling in technicolor!

the bars are taped in reverse

    • oldtenspeed

I like to tape my bars backward. (It makes adding and removing bar-ends a lot easier…)

      • BeaterRezQ

…now I wonder if I did these backwards!?!

Well, this is my first road bike and learning everything. Corrected the bar tape mistake a few weeks ago. Been putting near 50 miles a week commuting on her to work.

THE BAR TAPE IS CORECT IN THE PICTURE THATS THE WAY THEY WERE WRAPPED. THAT IS WHAT YOUR BAR END PLUG WAS INTENDED FOR . AT THE END OF THE BAR YOU WOULD CUT THE BAR TAPE
IN A 65 DEGRE ANGLE & IN THE LAST SECTION YOU WOULD BLEND TO THE BAR END THEN FOLD THE TAIL END UNDER IN SIDE THE BAR THEN INSERT THE PLUG TO KEEP IT IN PLACE,
I STILL WRAPP BARS IN THIS MANNER IT IS JUST AS EASY + YOU WONT GET THE END TAPE LIFTING IN HI TEMPS, AS WELL AS FROM GRIPPING THE BARS IN THAT LOCATION YOU WILL GET THE TAPE STARTING TO LIFT FROM OILS & SALTS. I LIKE THE OLD WAYS BEST IN SOME CASES

Anthony, don’t sweat it man. If I corrected everything about my bikes that didn’t suit someone’s fancy….I’d be walking to work everyday. B——–biking should be fun!”

It looks very well taken care of. I had a 1980 Caloi in brazil, which looked a lot like yours ! Impressive !
