Bike business is booming in greater DC . Sold 4 bikes this week two Nishikis, a 64 cm Falcon , and a 64 cm Ross paramount . Those big bikes are really in demand . Problem is I don’t even try to take them for a road test since I’m 5’8″ and to have top bar clearance you’d need to be about 6’2″ . Had to sell the Falcon twice . It came back in 1 day because the Somplex rear derailleur acted up . So I gave the first buyer back his money, put on a Shimano derailleur and sold the bijke again the next day.
I expect the DC bike market to really heat up since they are doubling the number of bike lanes especially using the car free zone in front of the White House on Pennsylvania Ave. Seems kind of strange puttiong ion a bike lane where bikes essentially had full use of the street before. But now it OFFICIALY connects to other bike routes.
Of course the other reason that DC is a great bike sellers market is that bike thieves are very active. I can’t believe the number of people who think they can juist lock the frame to the bike rack at the train station. In about 2 weeks all that’s left locked up is the frame with wheels, seat, and brakes gone.

That`s a nice clean looking mixte. Good color too.
I just finished a VISTA Mixte today. And picked up another (Le-Tour) this morn for restoring. Was not able to get pics yet, it got all muddy during the test ride.I think I would like to add a thin horizontal top-tube. Go GT one better and make a quad triangle frame! Wow, I have way to much time on my hands!
