    Wow! Lots of Schwinns!

The Waterford Paramount Deluxe is Great! I hope I am lucky enough to run across one someday. I think maybe it is the “Holy Grail” of Schwinn ten-speeds

    Don’t repaint it!

The Shimano crank is obviously not original. I wonder why someone would have replaced the original Campagnolo Record crankset, it’s not like you’re gaining much in gearing. Otherwise, a nice Paramount, although the brakes are probably not original either.

If I had a bike like that I’d be putting my name down for the Tour de France as well, no matter how much suffering it entails!

I used to have one just like that. I let my friend stay in my apartment. He decided to take it on a ride to Shoney’s restaurant in Chattanooga, TN. When he left the Restaurant my prized Paramount was gone to never be seen again. He did pay the replacement cost. I have never replaced it yet. I had a Stronglight Crank set with Campy derailleurs and Weinman rims. It had a Brooks leather saddle.
