Continuing this weekend’s mini theme, American Plumbing-Pipe-Turned-Bicycle, is Barney W.’s Huffy Relay 10. What an art it is to route brake and shifter cables a stopless frame; curve and creativity hath no bounds!
This old Huffy Relay has been around here for awhile. I bought it on E-Bay and like several other bikes I bought without riding 1st – this one is a little tall for me. I still ride it once in awhile though. I did lots of cleaning, oiling, grease, and adjusting on this one and it turned out to be a really nice ride. It’s a 33″ standover and is just about 1″ to tall for me. So, it’s going up for sale soon on Craigs List or back on Ebay. Shoot me a email if your interested. I have plenty of picks. I love those big flange hubs and the Baby Blue frame color. I also have the original matching Baby Blue Huffy Road seat to match it but the one I have on the bike is a little more comfortable to me. JUN stem, ThunderBird GTO front derailer, Shimano Eagle rear derailer, and Big Finger Tip Shimano Shifters, 27″ x 1 1/4″ tires, 27″ chrome rims……… Thanks for showing my Roadmaster several months ago.
Thanks again Barney
