After a week unplanned hiatus we’re back on track. I’m planning (hoping) to do some “two-a-days” this week to make up a little for the lost time.
Our first OTS out of the blocks is Bill P’s OTSG First, early 80s Volkcycle Mark XV. Although this is a rebadged Bridgestone, the color and styling has me thinking of Treks from the same era.
Cameron,
Here is my latest submission. This bike, however, is destined for Craigslist as it fits no one in my home. I picked up this beauty up at a neighborhood yard sale. It was complete, just dirty from years of sitting in the original owner’s barn. I’ve never had to remove gravel from a bottom bracket before.
Mid 80’s Volkscycle Mark XV. While that name would make you think it was a German bike, it was actually made in Japan by Bridgestone. It has a straight tube chromoly frame and is equipped with a number of beautiful Shimano 600 Arabesque components. Interestingly, it came with Dura-Ace top tube cable clips.
Oh, the seller gave me the original owner’s manual, too.
Bill
Thanks Bill
