A little bit about it:
I found this orphan on ebay. It had been converted to a single speed so I stripped it and rebuilt it from the ground up into a proper ten speed with mostly low-end Campy components. The headset, stem, handlebars, brakes, seat post and saddle appear to be original so I left them as is. The wrap around seat stays have a smaller diameter than most which, along with the 41-1/4″ wheelbase and 27″ wheels gives it a nice cushy ride. Perfect for navigating Chicago’s pothole riddled streetscape.

    Wonderful job! Love to see a vintage saved from fixieism. I do, however update the cottered cranks and calipers when I can. Awesome color.

    Great bike! I love the wrap around seat stays – what a beautiful design. I remember a pastel blue Falcon that I wanted fiercely back around 1974, but couldn’t come up with the dough at the time. I settled for a very nice Coventry Eagle (Part of the Falcon family) but it was never quite the same.
