    A gaggle of Grand Prix

    Hi,

Great web site! We all had these great ten speed bikes of all kinds as kids, and Lord knows how many miles we trekked. The history books say it was the car that changed the youth and society, but I’m pretty certain my 73 Raleigh Record took me to places that my Mom had no clue we could venture and see that far in a day! My best friend back then had a 73 Grand Prix, which I really liked, so when I started scouring Craigslist I was watching for mid 70′s vintage Grand Prix’s. I managed to track down at very reasonable cost a Grand Prix for my wife, my boy, and myself. These things are a hoot, and my son really likes the idea of going a bit faster than his only known ride on a mountain bike.

The Grand Prix is my current favorite bike, I just love the way the seat stays wrap around the seat lug. Very jealous of this lineup.

Nice string of ponies you have there. Alpena Mi is a beautiful place. My family vacationed in Green-Bush Mi
when I was a kid. I think I remember playing tennis right
on the bay in Alpena. Is that tennis court still there?
