Please tell “the guy” that ran the wonderful blog that he writes of……Welcome back! ((group hug))
Brian McG, welcome to the Gallery!
Where on earth did you find that sweet little ride? Please tell us you purchased it brand new and cherished it like an only child–as opposed to the explanation that you found it in the gutter by the curb or in the dumpster…
I could rag on you about not including more info on said bike, but in this case we will just let bike speak for self.
Black and beautiful! (besides, five pictures hold much redemption value)

Welcome back to the blogosphere. I missed the OTS postings to FB. I was off the bike for 2 months healing a broken clavicle. Catching up on peddling as much as possible till the snow flies.

Congratulations on your new ten speed, and have fun cleaning up that “grease”!

What is going on with the front hub on this bike? Old speedometer?

Deep sigh…… I had this exact bike, exact year, color, condition….. I bought it brand new and babied it like crazy. A couple years ago I sold it thinking I would never ride it again now that I have 4 kids taking up all my time. Well, this season I got back into biking with a vengeance clocking almost 2,000 miles on the season so far. I shed the hybrid “dad bike” and am riding a 1977 Schwinn Super Le Tour 12.2 in scarlet red, a sweet ride. But, seeing this bike makes me kick myself another 100 times wishing I still had My Trek 400 Elance. A part of my soul is still with that bike. 🙁 I’m currently covering the pain with vintage Schwinn, which will have to do until I find another Trek 400 Elance.

Sweet ride! Never get rid of that bike, unless of course you want to sell it to me!
