Colin in Georgia sent in this Falcon Harrier. We have a few Falcons in here already, but this the first one owned stateside. The overall look and feel of this Falcon reminds me alot of Jan’s Crescents.
My bike is an English made Falcon Harrier. Frame is Lugged single butted Reynolds 453 with Stronglight cranks, Shimano 105 shifters/rear derailleur, Sachs-Huret front derailleur, Sakae custom drop bars, Rigida rims, Suzue front hub, Maillard rear hub, Maillard quick release skewers, Weinmann 570 TOP side pull brakes, Cyclepro Metal toe clips, white leather Christophe straps, Tange headset, and an Avenir bottle cage.
All Original as far as I know, The original owner had never replaced the tires (I did with a set of Bontrager RaceLites) and had stored it in his garage for at least 10 years. I have since upgraded the saddle to a Selle San Marco Ponza Lux and replaced the old white bar tape with some fresh blue cushy stuff. This is a quick and responsive machine.
What a find, $125 bucks on craigslist! I Bought this beauty back in July and haven’t looked back since. I ride 5-7 miles each way to work 5 days a week for a total of 390 miles so far. (I know this thanks to the sweet old school Vetta computer that came on it.)
I am proud to say that I now hate driving my car.
Thanks Colin
