I bought this vintage bike so I could ride with my wife. It was in pretty good condition. I trolled the internet to find info on it and couldn’t find anything about it. Luckily, we have a vintage bike shop here in Long Beach, Ca. I took it there to do some of the restoration and the owner knew about my bike. He told me that it was one the first Raleigh’s to be made outside of England. It was made in Japan. He also told me that wasn’t a competition bike but was part of their mid-tier offerings of road bikes in the late 70’s, early 80’s. The only things I’ve done to the bike so far is to add a new saddle, bar tape, tune-up, and bike rack. Here are a few pictures, pre and pst restoration.
