Hello, I’m Derek from SD and this is my 1981 Schwinn World Tourist. Everything on it is original and clean. It says Chicago on the headbadge, but I believe this bike was actually built in Japan. It rides like a champ, though it is pretty heavy. The cassette on the rear wheel doesn’t freewheel. The freewheeling mechanism is built into the bottom bracket, which keeps the chain in motion as long as the back tire is moving. I find that this feature makes for smoother peddling, plus it is nice because you don’t have to be peddling to shift between gears. – It has the original Messenger seat (squeaks some, but comfy) – Period accurate Schwinn comfort grips – Pletscher rear rack – Shimano components – Vintage headlight outfitted with LEDs Thanks for checking it out! Derek
Thanks Derek
