Dick C.’s Gerber (Not The Baby Food)

Today’s OTS was sent in by Dick C. It’s A Gerber, looks to be late 70s early 80s.  It even has some those fancy I-talian components.

Gerber

Another first for OTSG, a Gerber, (not the baby food). Made near Swiss/Italian border best I can find out. Campy gears and dropouts, misc. other Italian components. Must have been produced in some numbers as “Gerber” is cast into stays and Superbe cranks. Feels like Columbus tubing. I had it for a few years but never got around to restoring and recently sold it to a collector of Italian bikes.

Thanks Dick

    Nice Bike.

It’s the prospect of finding beauties like this that keeps me going to yard sales/thrift stores.

    It’s a lifestyle. haha.
