Welcome back from the weekend. This is Eric H’s Univega Supra Sport. (Eric, is that an Uncle Sam plywood cutout I see in the background there? More pics of that too please!)

mid-80’s Univega Supra Sport. I found it at a yard sale, paid $25 for it.  It needed new tubes and grease in the freewheel (pawls were locked so it freewheeled in both directions).  The guy at the yard sale said it had carried him all over Boston when he was younger but he was moving and needed the space.  It’s the first road bike I’ve ridden, and I really love it.

    What a great buy! I love getting those freewheels to work again after neglect. WD-40 and other solvents work great without disassembly. Those cannondale panniers bring back memories of the 80’s and Bike Warehouse (Nashbar) catalog wishing. I think your rack is installed bass-ackwards! Strange mount by the brake. Enjoy All One with the UNIVEGA.

      Agreed Doug, I couldn’t help but think of my first set of Bike Nashbar panniers when I saw this one. It even has SunTour Symmetric shifters like my first road bike.
