While we’re traveling abroad let’s take a look at another International entry. This 1975 Sekine Medialle SHC271 comes to us from Eric L. in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. (By far my favorite City, Province/State combination.)

This is my pleasure to introduce ‘Red’ to OTS. Red was built in the Manitoba (Canada) Sekine plant in 1975 and purchased in Saskatchewan. Red is a Sekine Medialle SHC271 with all original parts (center-pull caliper Shimano Tourney brakes, Shimano Thunderbird GPO front derailleur, Shimano Lark SPO rear derailleur). This sleeping beauty was stored in a heated basement since his first owner purchased her. I adopted Red last week and change the saddle and the bar tape for my comfort. The first ride last week was very emotional! Red is a real gem. All the best to Sekine lovers.

    Great job! I bought the identical bike in 1978. Still have it, still ride it, and it runs beautifully. The only difference (other than saddle and bar-tape) is that mine has the heavier block style lettering. My wife has the one with the Mixte frame. Great bikes and a great find for you, Dave
