This is Hubie’s 1986 Nishiki Cresta GT and the first of a week’s worth of Japanese OTS.

Technically 15 speeds. I hope that is ok. Found on Craigslist last week, looking for a new project. Could not resist. I don’t think it was ridden at all, no paint chips at the rear axle, so appears wheel never came off. All original except bottle holders. Rides great but has goofy cycloid sugino chainrings.

    Thanks Hubie

That is very 1980`s for sure, right down to the Bio-Pace Chain rings. Beautiful bike for sure.Congrats on the wonderful find!

Hugh, I don’t mean to bust your biopace, but I don’t think that is one. :)

      I could be wrong.

Maybe it`s the photo, but the chain ring looks oval to me.

These aren’t biopace but rather the Sugino brand with the same concept and less popular.

Thanks Chris, I stand corrected. Not Bio-Pace but Bio-Nic. Wait a sec. Isn`t nic the ancient Aramaic
word for Pace?..lol I should know better than to challenge The Dreamer.
