Today’s entry, a 1975 Motobecane, came in from a more or less unidentified contributor. I’ve taken the liberty of using part of their email address to assign them an OTSG site handle. Welcome J. Hey.
Talk about luck, I found this 1975 Motobecane at a yard sale and didn’t have any money with me. I didn’t make it back to the sale until it was over. There was a pile of stuff marked “Free” at the end of the driveway and this bike was in it. The only thing I did was add some new tires and tubes, plus a water bottle. After much cleaning and polishing it looks like new. It is in such mint condition a nice sparkly green color. This is a replacement for my ’71 Nomade that was stolen last fall. I think it is all original. I did research the model year and ’75 seems right, my ’71 had steel cranks and stem, this one has aluminum. But it still has the dimpled rims and center pull brakes. I love riding this bike I plan to give it a good home.
Thanks J. Hey
