This is James B‘s “crappy” 1970 Takara.

Cameron,

Thanks for posting my nice ’83 Schwinn World Sport.

On the other end of the spectrum, and holding true to the theme that “if it ain’t crappy, I’m not happy”, I present my

1970 Takara which is as crappy as you can possibly get and still be in one whole piece. And best of all, it’s a cottered crank.

This one I actually paid $10 for (along with 4 other bikes), maybe I got robbed. One of the other bikes was a Schwinn Sprint.

This one is a true 1970 model, possibly the oldest in existence today. Should I restore it? Will that diminish it’s value?

I’m perplexed.

    I love that chrome tipped fork.It looks like a challenge
    (restoration) but might be well worth the effort.
