2 buck bike – what a deal – love those heart shaped cable guide stops looks like a great restoration project. I am surprised that they would not take advantage of the Winged Horse name in designing the head-badge but at least its a badge and not a decal.

I’m thinking japanese-only because the same shape badge was used for the older centurions. Gunkiest chain I’ve ever seen! LOL The paint is marvoulous 🙂

That’s it! Centurion! I knew I recognized the shape, but I couldn’t place it. I kept thinking Concord. Thanks Julie.

Thanks for the tip on the head badge. They are very similar. For some reason I got the impression Holland may have been the Point of Origin for this bike.

Nice simulated diamond-tucked saddle…and I agree with the two earlier comments that Concord and Centurion both used a similar head badge. Centurion also used a round circle with a C in the middle surrounded by the words CENTURION BICYCLE WORKS up front–and behind the head badge SHINKO MARKS MADE IN JAPAN. Good save and please thrill us with finished project.

Oooooh yes, I forgot….I have the aforementioned head badge as well as various others, my problem is–I don’t know how to post pictures on this forum.
…a little help for someone whose headlamp still operates on D batteries???

Just regreased the crank on mine. Serial number is 7010928 and looks exactly like yours Jeff. I got mine from my father-in-law about 25 years ago. He bought it at a rummage sale for a few dollars. it’s a very nice unit – solid and smooth. I had an over-sized front sprocket installed years ago so its fast too. Like you I know nothing of the company..
