Softening our return to the grind this week is Jeff S and his large Schwinn World Sport. As Jeff points out, this is the first of three OTS that he picked up and subsequently submitted to the OTSG. Be on the look out over the next few weeks when I’ll post the other two.

Schwinn World Sport

Found 3 ots bikes at yard sales this week all 5 dollars each. First showing a nice tall frame Schwinn World Sport. Ready to ride as found needs just a little detailing cleanup work. Crank numbers only on this one 5077528 and G0258. Nice used bikes are plentiful and cheap in central WI , my storage shed is starting to overflow with vintage Schwinn, Raleigh’s and Treks. Found a first year Schwinn Le Tour in mint shape last week that some jerk swiped overnight out of my driveway right in front of my house before I could even get pictures taken. Have the serial number but odds of it showing up again in 1 piece are pretty slim I guess.

    Jeff I am envious of your Wisconsin bounty of bikes. And very sad to hear of your Le Tour loss. That World Sport is clean indeed and looking VERY original. And big. Those big steel frames are what I think makes these old Schwinns such sweet rides. That was a killer find!
