Finally stateside after a month abroad, and back to what we do best: old and crappy!  Welcome to Huffrray week.  Our first installment is this early to mid 80s Huffy Champion sent in by Jeff V.

Hi,

My name is Jeff V. Here are some photos of am ’80s vintage (I think) Huffy Champion. It’s original except for the back rack I added. I’m not a fan of Huffys, but the chrome is beautiful on this bike, and the components (rims, seat, cables, etc) are actually very decent quality. I picked this up for $15, and spent about 4 hours polishing, etc. Seat tube is 19 inches, and the tires are 24 X 1 3/8. Hope you enjoy the photos. – Jeff V

    Don’t be too hard on your old Huffy.Accept it for what it is, inexpensive, but well built.You can do most repairs with an adjustable wrench and a screwdriver. Ride with pride.If you’re real lucky your next find may be a $5.00 mint condition Murray.
