Jeff V’s 1987 Schwinn World Sport

Hi Cameron,

Jeff V here with an OTWS (12 spd) Schwinn World Sport which I believe is an ’87 model.   As you can see, it is very clean, with the black paint contrasting nicely with white World Sport lettering on the top tube and turquoise-blue Schwinn on the seat tube.   Has SIS index shifting…..alas perhaps a bit too snooty for an OTS submission, but I purposely bought some “wide white” 27 inchers, which I feel completes the “pimp my ride” look and brings it down to earth.   Saddle is not original, but all other components are.   Enjoy!

    Great colors, I would love to get my hands on that bike.
    I think this being The “Old” Ten Speed Gallery, this would be the perfect place to post it. I notice on the close-ups the paint looks a little rough. You might want to try using Meguiars Cleaner / Polish. It is great stuff and will really bring that paint back to life. A little black nail-polish will work wonders on the paint chips too.

    Hey that looks just like my bike! I got mine as a gift from my parents when I was 13 or so and it is still going strong. I’ll have to get some pictures and post them here!
