Hi Cameron,
Jeff V. again. I haven’t had much time this year to refurbish bikes, but I recently completed cleaning up this late 1970s model (based upon the derailleurs and cottered crank) Motobecane Mirage. I realize you already have several Mirages on OTS, but this might be older than most of them. And except for new 27 inch tires, it’s all original. That cottered crank caused me big problems, as the original PLASTIC bearing housing for the crank bearings allowed the bearings to roam and wander!. The cotter pins were very stuck, but eventually I removed them, replaced the plastic bearing housings with metal ones, and cleaned and lubed everything. The suede seat is very comfortable. The seat tube measures 59 cm. Clearly the Mirage was not high brow, but it’s still a sweet steel ride! Hope your readers enjoy!
Thanks Jeff
