This week’s “Featured” OTS comes to us via Darrell Y, expert restoration guru and promoter of The Manor and Meadow Tour II, taking place Sunday, September 8 at 1pm. Enjoy this beauty and the rest of this week’s line-up.
My niece’s Peugeot mixte for consideration for the Old Ten Speed Gallery.
Cheers,
DarrellJOAN’s 1975 Peugeot mixte uo-18
This bike was a Craigslist find. The seller said it had been his mother’s bike and had only been ridden a few times and the bicycle’s excellent condition bore out his claim. Condition notwithstanding the bike was disassembled and lovingly restored by Darrell Y of “Bent Wrench Restorations”. The steel cottered cranks were replaced by a polished Stronglight 93 double setup, drop bars were swapped out for Nitto Northroaduprights, and Velo Orange fenders mounted over the new 700c wheelset.
