For those of you in need of your four day Varsity fix, here’s another green beauty that should take the edge off. This a 1975 sent in by Joe B. in St. Louis, he even gave it the OldTenSpeedGallery.com seal of approval.

“Lime Green” Schwinn Varsity, manufactured in June of 1975. (Serial # FL633160) With the exception of new tires, tubes, rim strips, and of course the Old Ten Speed Gallery.com decal…IT’S ALL ORIGINAL! I had to clean off a lot of rust and true up the wheels a bit. Not bad for a $25.00 bike from craigslist. I took it on its maiden ride today (February 19, 2009) in 30 degree weather…clear but cold; just another balmy day in St. Louis. I’m keeping this one. ‘nough said.
