Wow! I wasn’t sure if I was going to make it out of this week alive! This is Joey V’s Peugeot Super Sport, it was suppose to be posted last Friday for French Week, but alas! I was so nauseated by the butterfly bars it took me 6 days to recover! (I kid, I kid! I love the butterfly bars!) So, anyway, I’ll salvage this week with some stupendous postings tonight and tomorrow!
Hi,
Here are a few pics of my Peugeot Super Sport – my last restoration project. I bought it for 10$ at the beginning of this summer – yard sale. Cleaned it tonight so thought I’d take a few shots and send them in. It’s in almost perfect condition. Didn’t want to ride it until I’d greased and checked all bearings. Did that tonight and took it for a spin… It’s one of my favorite bikes all time…. and I’ve had a lot. It’s for sure the best 10$ I’ve ever spent. Put some butterfly handlebars and Deore Brake levers on it and it’s going to be my bike this fall. Was going to send you some picks of a Mikado bike I was using this summer, but the frame broke last week.. hence the Peugeot now… I’ve got lots of bikes, but I like those old ten speeds with a long wheel base… with a butterfly handlebar they make great cycle path and town bikes.
