I saw your picture of 1972 gray raleigh record with 10 speed. SAME as My father’s 1971 gray Raleigh Record 10 speed!! I still have it with me in garage for 40 years. My dad’s vintage Raleigh record look brand new! NEVER scratch or rust at all!! this is 1971… very rare All REAL original bicycle.. Never replace tires ever since 1971. you image that?

I just bought a Raleigh Record at a swap meet.Appears to be mid 70″s. It looks like Walter E”s in picture above. white/orange trim.It needs 2 wheels ,tires , and seat post ,seat.It says made in Republic of Ireland.
Could anyone help me identify the year?? thanks Gary from Sacto Calif

That picture makes me so nostalgic! I have an identical grey Raleigh Record in my shed in Australia. I bought it new in 1976… what a blast from the past.

I took it as stone tools.

Raleigh started building bikes in the 19th Century and liked sticking with the old, trusted ways.

I have an old Raleigh roadster that weighs in at 52 pounds, but gawd, what a cool bike to ride.
