I’ve never seen a continental with a light weight type badge-most excellent job of painting/looks original! Gotta know how much it weighs-could it be a super sport originally? Hard to see that orig crank.

Thanks for publishing my photos, I later found out it is a 1962 model. I was 13 years old when I bought it, I’m 53 now. Julie S. It is deffinitely a Continental (still had decals before I painted it) I will weigh it when I get a chance and let you know what it is.
    Thanks again, John

The 1962 Continental sold for 86.95 new. The 1962 Super Continental was 107.00 That was expensive in 1962.I like to think of the Continental as a dual purpose bike. A great commuter And also great for doing curls. The Original “Total Gym”
It`s gotta way 40lbs if it weighs a pound (:

I weighed my bike today it’s 31lbs. By the way does anyone know where I can get a set of decals to match this year Continental? I found a pair at a bike shop around 20 years ago but they broke into pieces when I tried to put them on. Thanks again, John

Yep, a Continental for sure. And in good condition. It has the same forks and round head badge as my 65 Continental. Unfortunately, I only have the frame and forks, no wheels or anything. These early 10 speeds from the 60’s, are rare.

For Continental decals, check Memory Lane Classics, got o parts, the decals, Continental is listed down the page.
