This is John’s Canadian built Sekine Medialles ( which up until some recent research, I always assumed was a Japanese marque) complete with—the 1970s equivalent of today’s chainstay URL—SEKINE cutout pie plate,  frame bag/carry pad and, of course, spoon handle shifters.   If you really like this bike, there is a nice green one on eBay right now.

This my mid seventies Sekine “Medialles”. I paid 8 dollars for it and spent another 150 dollars fixing it up. Paint isn’t that great, but it rides beautifully.
