    I had the same bike, same year…but different color–blue.
    Gotta love the old bar wrap that was one step above electrical tape.
    By the looks of that gem I would bank on it being 100% original.

    Man that is a Lime beauty, looks like a time capsule find and the speedo is way retro cool. Nice pick up Jose- I gotta start going to thrift stores on my lunch break!

    If my four eyes don’t deceive me, you still have that clear plastic chainstay protector on that ol’ Schwinn, nice.
    Yes–110% original.
    I sold my old Varsity, well I traded it…..and now that I think about it–other guy made out like a bandit.
    Oh well, so many bikes…will find another someday.(tee-hee, but I did keep old clear plastic chainstay protector…it now resides on an old Panasonic)
