• Julie S.’s Puch Pathfinder

Today’s selection comes to us from Julie S.  According to Julie, she loves this Puch Pathfinder despite the fact that it’s steel.  What?! Like being steel is a bad thing?  This isn’t oldcarbonfiberoraluminumdisposablecrapgallery.com you’re suppose love your bike for being steel!  Steel is real! Right?

Julie indicates that she acquired this gem off of craigslist, so I will give her the benefit of the doubt with regard to her flop-n-chop bars.  Perhaps this bit of OTS sacrilege was done by the previous owner.  However, I have received another OTS from Julie that I have yet to post, and it too sports a set of FNCs. I’m not about to get all self righteous and pretend I never fell into the FNC trap.  I did.  I was young. And I’m sorry.  It was on a project a several years ago, and when I had finished, I immediately regretted trashing a perfectly serviceable set of 36cm drops.  Quickly, I skated on over to chucksbikes.com and picked up a nice set of $10 bull horns!  Much better.

Remember kids:  Chop wood not drops!

A nice find off of CL. Even tho its steel and too big for me; love her anyway. Takes me back to the 70′s.

    Thanks Julie

Thanks, bars are not naked anymore…she is for ale (can I say that?) But no bites. If I could get the seat lower or grow taller, I’d keep! Still ride stretched out!
