Justin C. to the rescue!…and just-in-time, I might add! (beginning to have vintage 10/12 speed withdrawals over here)
First off, I tip my hat to you Mister for including so many nice pic’s of your beautiful Peugeot. It’s in nearly new condition, mostly all original…what more could a biker ask for in a nice ol’ classic? Antique stores tend to charge an “antique” price on their wares, if they kept price within reason–a worthy acquisition.

Thanks BRQ! I’ve been a lurker on this site for awhile. I could not believe the condition either. It is definately a keeper. I would safely bet the gumwalls are original to the bike as well. Yeah, the guy that owns this shop is more of a “picker” I guess you could say. I didn’t ask how he came across it. 🙁 The bike looks great in my living room, and I have ridden it to my mail box a few times. Rides great! I plan on keeping it the way it is. 🙂

        Lol, lurker….if you’re a lurker then I must be a squatter! B

I have the same HSINLUNG drop bars on my 93 Ross Gran Tour. I believe they are aluminum? Not sure. Very nice find.

    • Jjchism

      I believe they are.

Wow! what a score thanks for sharing Justin

MAN OH MAN THAT’S LIKE PULLING A REBBIT OUT OF A HAT. THAT THING IS TRULY FLAWLESS, SHE IS PRETTIER
THAN ANY THING I HAVE SEEN OR PURCHASED IN ALL THE THE YEARS I HAVE BEEN HUNTING. I RECENTLY FOUND A EARLY SEKAI WITH MANUAL. BUT NOT AS NICE AS THIS, SHE IS UNDERGOING RECONSTRUCTIVE SURGERY AT THIS TIME

    • Jjchism

This the nicest peugeot I have run across. Too bad its not a reynolds frame bike. 🙁

” I did figure out the combo on the chain and removed it “, duh–now I get it. I thought you were talking about the drive chain rather than the combination chain lock. Good going there Justin, that low-end bike lock was beginning to make me a bit nervous rubbing on that beautiful black paint job you got going there. By the way, how long did it take you to figure out the combination? B

    • Jjchism

LOL! I did clean the chain on the bike. However, this chain took me about an hour to figure it out. It was only a 4 code combo lock. Luckily it did not scratch the paint. The chain is wrapped in a poly sheath. I wrote the code down for future reference. LOL

    Beautiful bike!

That is really cool! I may be buying on of these from a friend. It is all original. From what I can tell, the components are all good it may just need new tires, tape and cables. How much is one of these worth?

  • Dustin

Just picked up the same bike at goodwill for $20. The only difference is the tires are a bit more worn on the walls, and there wasn’t an owners manual. It did still have the sticker of the bike shop it came from. The original store it came from was in New Jersey, and it somehow ended up here in kenosha WI
