I guess we can now call this Miyata Monday? Thanks to Kim M for sending in her 1981 Miyata 110.

1981 Miyata 110 Woman’s

I picked this one up at a yard sale for $50 several years ago and have put a few thousand miles on it since then. I use it to bike to work over some rough roads, 7 miles a day, 5 days a week, pretty much year-round (it’s not so good in snow, but fine in everything else). It’s mostly original parts, though I’ve had to replace the rear derailleur after wearing the gear teeth off, and I go through seats, tires, and handlebar grips pretty regularly. It’s a pretty solid old ride.

    It’s always nice to see a ladies bike in the Gallery, especially so when it’s a clean vintage Miyata!
    You committed just one indiscretion here by not including more than one picture…good thing we are a very forgiving bunch of misfits! I am a firm believer that there is a bike out there for everyone, sounds like you found yours!
