• Mike R’s 1987 Bianchi Premio

Here is Mike R’s Bianchi Premio for your enjoyment.  Something about this thing just makes me thirsty!

    1987 Bianchi Premio

I found this 1987 Bianchi Premio in the backlogs of the local CL and it turned out the guy still had it with the added bonus that he had never rode it since he walked it out of the bike shop. Well almost, he gave up within five miles due to having a seat crappier than his ten speed. I unfortunately rubbed the lettering off the cranks with my gaiters riding it home in a pouring rain but it is otherwise show room new right down to the tires. Gave it a good cleaning inside and out including a personal first of having to dremel dried grease off of parts. Ditched the kickstand along with the reflectors and voila, a thirty pound training bike with rack mounts for hauling beverages that didn’t fit inside the rider.

    Mike R.

    Thanks Mike

Have this exact same bike since new. Has been a good bike. Have been trying to decide if its worth upgrading.

That’s an great find. I just picked up the same bike. Its in good condition, but nothing like show room status. I’m excited to work on it, however, and when its nice and shiny, hit the road with it. Cool story and cool bike. Regards.
