I thought you meant “Cherry” as in near-mint (:
I don`t know if it is a OTSG first, but it`s the first one I have ever seen. Just a suggestion, You might want to try some Mother`s on those brake calipers. Fantastic Bike thanks for sharing it with us.

Nice bike, Mike, and, no, I’ve never seen one before, either! Looks great! You did a good job on it!
And not that it really matters, but I’d guess it might be more like a late ’60’s, rather than an early ’70’s UJBBTS.

Thanks guys. This was my first rebuild / restore project. It was physical therapy after I broke my leg last year, and I learned a lot in the process. Now I’m helping a co-worker restore his OTS find.

Wow, first one? Even more impressive, Mike!
After too many years of being intimidated, I remember the first time I decided to rebuild a bike, finally realizing “bikes can’t possibly be THAT complicated”, and as it turns out, they really aren’t (at least they weren’t 20+ years ago!).
Good to pass along what you’ve learned, too.
