God Bless America. What a beauty! I am curious, however, any stickers indicating country of origin/assembly?

Just looking at it makes me proud to be an American!

Sorry, I failed to include a photo of the headbadge. She was made in Dayton, Ohio. Truly an All American!

I actually had a Huffy Independence bike when I was a kid. Brings back fond memories. 🙂

Wow! I have the female version of the same bike. Mine is the 1976 bicentennial huffy! Still have it in the garage.

The Huffy Independence was made in Celina Ohio. I was lucky enough to be a test rider for it in the summer of 1975, when I was 15. They put “test” derailers on it. At first I couldn’t shift it without the chain falling off so they tweaked it until it was right. I rode it every day for 4 months with no other problem. Mine was exactly like the one in the picture except it had a WHITE seat with an eagle embossed in it. Best bike I or my friends rode back then.

I was also a test rider for this bike. My mother worked at the Huffy plant in Celina. Loved this bike, never had any problems with it.

Hi I had this bike but it was a women’s. the seat was white with a design on it. It was my first 10 speed. I saved my own money and bought it at Kmart. I wish I still had it.

I also have the girls version. The seat is white with a red/white/ and blue eagle design on it. I am wanting to sell it but have no idea how much it is worth.

I would still like to find one of these in a woman’s.

      I have one for sale!!

How much are you asking and where are you located?

I have a female bicentennial huffy 1976 independence 10 speed. Bought it new and still has all the originals. What a beauty! All of the bicentennial markings are there and original. The seat is the original but the back of the seat on the left is scraped. Had a little accident when going too fast! If anyone has info about the value, please let me know.
