Mister4corner’s Bicentennial Huffy 10-Speed

Our third Coluhuffrray of the day, and the second ’76er of the afternoon.  Yeah, I know Sears Free Spirit isn’t represented in Coluhuffrray, but I’m not sure how to work it in. If you have any idea, please leave a comment.  This 1976 Huffy Bicentennial baby comes to us from Mister4corners in New York State.

Mister4corners here again. I have a super groovy OTS, I’m assuming the year is 1976 judging by the patriotic decals. Bet you’ve never seen one of these, it is a Huffy Independence. No great story here, I bought it on eBay and had it shipped to my house in Upstate New York from Kansas. Must be a lot of crappy ten speeds in the country’s heartland. Anyway, it is all steel with Suntour APX Shimano Positron components. Rides beatifully! i will replace the handlebar tape when I get a moment, everything else is ready to go.

Thanks Mr 4c

God Bless America. What a beauty! I am curious, however, any stickers indicating country of origin/assembly?

Sorry, I failed to include a photo of the headbadge. She was made in Dayton, Ohio. Truly an All American!

I actually had a Huffy Independence bike when I was a kid. Brings back fond memories. :)
