Monday Market – For Sale Gene’s Mint Peugeot PSV10s

Today’s OTS is a special Owner Submitted Monday Market edition.

Gene is selling pair of all original Peugeot PSV10s.  These are absolutely beautiful bikes, and I would love for one of my readers to snag one.  I am afraid these should bring more than the thrift-store-church-sale prices we are all too accustomed to, so no low-ballers!  If you are interested in one or both of these bikes, leave a comment or shoot me at

and I will forward you on to Gene.

I have 3 2 mint condition Peugeot PSV10′s for sale.  I bought all three of them new in 1983.

Serial #’s B3012641, B3026088, B2126992 – One still has the paper sticker taped on it - PSV10552 – 2668473, so I’m assuming they are PSV10s. They have less then 50 miles on them and have been in storage for 25 years.  My wife rode hers twice.

  • 1 – 22″ Frame
  • 2 – 20.5″ Frames
  • Saddles 1-Sella Italia CX – 2-Avocet Touring WI
  • Tubular tires + 1 spare never been used.
  • Original equipment right down to the Peugeot water bottles.
  • French Derailleurs & Hubs
  • Stronglight Cranks
  • Super Vitus 980 Frames and Chrome Forks

Here is the PSV10 Catalogue for them:

Can’t imagine there are many still around in
this original condition. Feel free to forward this to any potentially interested parties.

What are you asking for the bike(s)? Where are you in the states?

      Hi Chris,
The two Peugeot’s are still for sale. I have offers for them both, for “Vintage Display”, But I’d like to see them ridden & pampered.

      Thnx for your interest,

Hi Gene, can we discuss this via email or however you’d prefer? My husband & I, recent empty nesters, are workin hard at getting back into shape. Have had a recent run of bad luck so trying to get a smile back on our faces. Let me know how you’d prefer to move forward from here ok? I’m so glad to finally find a place like OTS w/like-minded people passionate about biking and preserving beautiful bikes. TIA!!!

  4. Shana says:

Wow, your bikes are beyond gorgeous… would love to buy them but can’t right now. I sure hope you get the right buyer who really appreciates what you have!!!!

  5. Gustavo says:

I would be very interested in purchasing your 22′ for my girlfriend. These old bikes have so much more character than the new “fancy-schmancy” frames being made today! Please email me at jigstavo@yahoo.com with the amount you are asking for that one. Thanks!

  6. Sonny says:

Any change these PSV-10 are still available? Please email me at ironchefsonny@yahoo.com if they are :) . Thanks

  7. I bought one of Geno’s bikes and love it. The guys at REI and my local bike shop both begged me never to ride it because it is in such great shape. But alas! She wants to be ridden!

    Thanks Geno.

  8. frankw says:

I too bought one of Geno’s peugeot bikes. WoW the bike looks as though it just rolled out of the bike shop in 1983. So tonight I’m Puttin’ On The Ritz going down Electric Avenue to Rock The Casbar, cause I’m gonna Party Like It’s 1999. Yeah the bike is that pristine. Thanks Geno. Cheers

  9. Brian says:

And these bikes are FAST, too. Tubeless tires really corner!

    Brian

  10. Brian,
By “tubeless” do you mean tubular?

  11. Brian says:

I actually do mean tubeless. There is no tube in my tire. It is just the tire, filled with air and glued to the rim.

  12. CRAZY! I thought the whole tubeless thing was a resent development. You learn something everyday!

  13. Brian says:

Nope. Turns out the tubeless tires are the OLD school method. But one that is preferred by many pro riders nowadays due to the speed and agility they provide. Of course, fixing flats is a real downer.

  14. Brian Gabriel says:

Just scored a set of vintage Campy Record “Rigida” wheels. They are clinchers. Hooked up some kevlar Schwable tires and now I have a spare set of wheels. Fast and road ready. Flats are now a breeze to fix!

  15. jeff says:

    Hi
    did they sell?
    thanks jeff

  16. perry says:

I am sure you sold these–but I am looking for 1980 Peugeot like the one I used to own. The two you had for sale were VERY close.

    • Geno says:

      Hi Perry,

      Yes, I sold all three Peugeot’s. I’ll keep a look-out for a 1980 model.

  17. Brian Gabriel says:

I may be selling mine. It is such a nice bike I don’t feel comfortable riding it in the rain. It is a beauty and I need a rough and tumble commuter. Email me at bgabriel@sound-tele.com
