Wow, that’s a super “Super Le Tour”, Pete, and you’ve kept it in such excellent condition over the last 34 years!
It’s just my size, too, but I’m going to go WAY out on a limb and guess it’s NOT for sale!
Very nice! Thanks for showing it off! I’ll admit I suppose I’m really just another Schwead at heart!

    Thanks older1:
You got the “not for sale” thing right! Pretty funny.
I got pulled over for speeding on it, when I got it. Downhill doing 45mph in a 35mph zone. I knew the Cop was there, and tested it. Hilarious. He only gave me a warning for no lights. I told him lights were dead-weight!

      Great story, Pete!
Krazy kid! Does your mom know what you’re doing with the bike when she’s not looking?
You better hurry and sell it to me before you get yourself into any more trouble!

  • pete campbell

    Hi Older1:
I WILL sell it to you when I CANT afford FOOD!
I’m 52 now and scared of going that fast on it now.
I got into FAST motorcycles after that for 10 years, that’s how it stayed in such good condition. Hard to climb on a bicycle when you can have 100 horsepower between your legs! I’m just an old fart peddlin’ around the neighborhood these days.

    • older1

Wow, been there, done that, too.
I had a really sweet black ’94 CB1000 for about 8-9 years, but sold it a couple of years after I got laid off in 2002.
No more motorcycles for me, though. It was scary enough when drunks and dope-heads were on the road, but nowadays, cell-phone-heads alone have got me committed to a SUV-cage permanently.

I love this bike I just bought this same exact super le tour 2 days ago and I love it it ride likes a dream most highschool kids like myself will never be seen in one of these and the guy that sold it to me gave it for $95 with new brakes new tires and a good tune up I thought he was a bit dumb but hey I got a greatdeal and I’m not complaining 🙂

    • pete campbell

Tail; that’s cool!! Is it blue? Nice price.
Turns on a dime doesnt it? It’s gotta be worth $300. Not that I would sell mine, but you got a great deal. The things are as fast as you can go!! Notice, when you walk behind it, you can put your one hand on the back of the seat and it will “steer” itself straight as an arrow as you walk alongside. Pretty amazing Japanese machinery. That was made just before their auto industry took off.
      congrats!!

Yes mines blue I do love it!! And it turns just like you say the only downfall is no downfall I’ve only been rideing it a little but everytime is like a dream I wish my family would apreciate bike like I do cause I’m the only cycleist what size tires do you have? Cause mine seem to be a little bigger from the picture angle…..

  • pete campbell

Tail….they came STOCK with 1-1/8th inch Gum Walls.
I updated to: all black Vittoria Rubino Tech 1-1/4 inch. They make it look a little “tougher”, along with the puffy comfortable handle bar foam, the whole bike just looks “chunkier”. I like BOTH looks equally, just wanted to change it up a bit. The stock skinny tires are probably better for serious road riders seeking an edge. Out of the box the bike looked & WAS VERY delicate. Which is nice. I like being able to hold it ABOVE my head with JUST my index finger!!!
But I just putt around my neighborhood in the country nowadays. I’d like to see a picture of yours. Can you post it on this website? Let me know when it’s up. Good job…enjoy a GREAT ride! They are go fast bikes with stop fast brakes!

that’s awsome man and I tried to join the website but I can’t find the sign up page lol and you prefer the foam handle bars? I’m actualy thinking of buying some handlebar tape but still unsure and I love the bike and all but I need a different set of tires cause mine look flat when I ride them I’m about 190-200 pounds (which is moderate for my size) do you have a good suggestion for that? Plus i’ll try to upload some pics if I can like I said I need to sign up on the website or I can email them to you
