I’m really enjoying the primo restos, how ’bout another? This is very nicely restored and upgraded Schwinn Super Sport sent in by Phil M.

Model Supersport
A little bit about it: bought frame and parts all separately off ebay (Mostly). Stripped frame and custom painted in orange metallic flake and white. Used “pin-up” decals on down tube and forks. Nishiki crank, Campagnolo front and rear derailleurs and brakes. I custom made the leather seat pouch/tool kit to match the seat and handlebars.

    Excellent project. The color looks like a lighter version of the sierra brown that Schwinn used to offer. Color scheme compliments itself. Pin up is nice too. What does it weigh?

    VERY nice job. The Super Sport was a fillet-brazed cro-mo frame, even though it looks like welded carbon steel as if it were a Varsity or Continental. Good to see you replaced the steel “Ashtabula” crankset with an alloy one. I guess you used an adapter made for BMX bikes for that?
