This is Robert A’s “family heirloom” 1968 Skyway 10-speed. Undoubtedly an OTSG first.
Attached are photos of my dad’s old Skyway….Yes Skyway 10 Speed. He told me he bought it in 1968 while he was stationed in Thailand. I remember learning to ride on it when I was just a little thing. It has been in storage for at least the past 20 years, hanging from his garage ceiling. I had started replacing the gear and brake cables, but decided to hold up until I purchased some white cable sleeves and keep it as close to the original colors as possible. It has a shimano lark 333 rear derailure, and a suntour front derailure.
