Unscrupulous Ryan B. has sent in this early 90’s Avanti Sprint.  Sweet Biopace!

Avanti Sprint

Ok so its not too old but I think old enough to post and a 7×2 not a 5×2, $20 at the auction here in Whangarei,new zealand, running full Exage groupset(gears,brakes,crank and hubs), Alesa concave rims made in Belgium, SR sakae modolo drops and a very comfy viscount seat, what needed to get it road worthy? Pumped up tyres and after 2 days still up, and needed half turn to tighten loose bb axle, wheels and gears true and straight action(indexed shifting), too small for me so will restore fully and sell.

Just an update to the morrison I sent awhile ago, well I converted it to single speed and this is a finished example of what I tend to do with OTS’s, has since sold to a bit of a collector for a good profit, sold the suntour VX gear set from it to another collector as well, love me or hate me for it but I still like the look after the change.

    Ha Ha my bad? I promise to send in a real 5 by 2,my apologies to the squemish but I do love the naked lines of a clean shaven bike,take my word for it “I love old ten speeds”

      Ryan, No need to apologize! We’re an open and accepting community! We just hate bikes that aren’t old and crappy and 10-speeded and…well, that’s it. Other than that we’re cool with everything.

    When I first glanced at the photo of the Avanti sprint, all I could think was. What
    is that silly looking basket mounted on the back of the saddle?…LOL. My new eye glasses are supposed to be ready early next week! CHEERS, Hugh in Highland
