Per Ryan’s suggestion, here is his contribution to our first Motobecane Monday, a 1981ish Nomade II.
Hi Cameron,
This one if for your next “Motobecane Monday” that comes before TakaraTuesday right?
Year 1981 (best guess) Make Motobecane Model Nomade II
A little bit about it: This came into my garage as a frameset with; brakes, seatpost and saddle, bottom bracket and afew cable guides. I built it up with “period correct” parts I had laying around, a few I pirated from other in progress projects and a few I bought used at the local bike kitchen, which is where the frameset came from. After getting this French smoothie built up and test riding it I realized it fit me like a glove and the ride was so nice! I even considered keeping it but instead I just measured it carefully and put it on CL. Now if I run across a Moto Grand Touring, Grand Jubilee, Grand Record etc I know what size to look for. Motobecanes are quickly becoming my Favorite OTS brand. Hope you enjoy the shots and thanks as always for your wonderful site.
